Hilton Garden Inn – Burlington, Vermont
The Hilton Garden Inn is situated on the corner of Main Street and Pine Street in downtown Burlington. The project involved the renovation of a historic armory and the construction of a six story parking garage, hotel, and conference center. The project has been LEED* certified. JFPCS designed the mechanical systems and modeled the building's projected energy use. The mechanical systems include an efficient water source heat pump system for the residential units, high efficiency gas-fired air handling units for the conference center, administrative area, kitchen, and dining areas. Unique to this project was the inclusion of the Armory. Its exposed brick and steel truss frame creates an age old appearance to an area surrounded by a modern, efficient structure.
